This trek starts at Paro, following the Pachu (Paro river) upstream literally to its source passing through scattered hamlets and farmland, into a deep and richly forested valleys, which further leads to a high alpine pastureland where yak herders graze their animals. Besides, Mt. Chomolhari and its adjoining range has impressed visitors to admit as one of the most beautiful peak. The trek offers a taste of great variety of Bhutanese landscape.
Day by day itinerary
Day 01: Flight Kathmandu-Paro
Arrival and Transfer to hotel, o/n in a hotel
Day 02: sightseeing around in paro, o/n in a hotel
Day 03: Trek to Shana (6hrs, 2800m) o/n in camp
Day 04: Trek to Soi Thangthanka (7hrs, 3720m) o/n in camp
Day 05: Thangthanka to Jangothang(6hrs,4100m) o/n in camp
Day 06: Rest day and hiking in one of 3 directions; Mt. Chomolhari and it's subsidiaries lie directly west, Jichu Drake to the North and Tsherimgang and other unknown submits and ridges to the east. Besides there is Yak herder's villages, always welcoming to show their house and living style
Day 07: Trek to Lingshi (7hrs, 4125m) o/n in camp
Day 08: Trek to Shodu (7hrs, 3700m) o/n in camp
Day 09: Trek to Barshong (6hrs, 3550m) o/n in camp
Day 10: Trek to Dolam Kencho (5hrs, 3600m) o/n in camp
Day 11: Trek to Dodena and drive to Thimpu( 5hrs) o/n in camp
Day 12: Sightseeing around in Thimpu,o/n in a hotel
Day 13: Drive to paro airport for fly back to Kathmandu
