Our itinerary takes you in short time to some of the most attractive destinations in Nepal: Chitwan National Park, one of the famous National Park for safari trip during the Christmas and Pokhara for New Year with a beautiful and scenic trekking in between. For the last ten years, New Year events have been organized in Pokhara as "a happening destination for New Year celebration". Restaurant Bar association of Nepal (REBAN), Pokhara chapter organizes this festival with the slogan of "Eat in the street, dance in the street and enjoy in the street!” Apart from the food stalls of popular restaurants in Pokhara, the festival also showcases different cultural performances of Gurung, Magar, Kirant, Tibetan, Tharu and other communities as well as folk-dohari songs, live band programs also other attractions of the street festival.

Fixed departure itinerary:
21/12/11, Day 01: Arrival at International Airport and transfer to hotel, after some refreshment, we invite you to our typical Nepali welcome dinner with the staff, o/n in a hotel +D
We start the trip on arrival at Kathmandu with airport pick up service. Since no activities are planned on day one, you can arrive at your own time. A briefing of the trip will be given by the tour/trek guide
Day 2: Sightseeing around in Kathmandu Valley, o/n in a hotel +O
After breakfast: Sightseeing tour in Kathmandu Valley, , where you will have time to fascinating Buddhist and Hindu temples and shrines reflecting ancient local tradition are highlighted on by guided tour. There’s time to explore the city’s many charms on your own or take a rest while we finalize trekking permits.
The places we visit on this first day are:
Swymbhunath Stupa:This is one of the world's most glorious Buddhist Stupa and is said to be 2,500 years old. Painted on the four sides of the spire's base are the famous “all seeing-“ eyes of Lord Buddha. Swayambunath is situated in a hillock about 77m above the level of the Kathmandu Valley and hence commands an excellent view of the valley
Kathmandu Durbar Square:
It is the historic seat of royalty in the center of Kathmandu. The Durbar Square, with its old temples and palaces, epitomizes the religious and cultural life of the people. Interesting things to see here are the Taleju Temple, Temple of Kal Bhairav, Nine storied old Palace and the Temple of Kumari (Living Goddess).
Pashupati Nath:
The temple of Lord Shiva, with the tiered golden roof and silver door is considered one of the holiest shrines for Hindus. Although only Hindus are allowed inside the temple, visitors can clearly see the temple and the activities performed in the temple premises from the eastern bank of the Bagmati River. It is the far most impressive site to visit in Kathmandu and gives a overwhelming insight into the rich traditions and beliefs of Nepal.
Bouddhanath Stupa:
The Stupa of Bouddhanath lies 8 km east of Kathmandu. This ancient colossal Stupa is one of the biggest in the world, and the centre of Tibetan Buddhism in the world.
Day 3: Drive to Nagarkot via Patan/Bhaktpur (7hrs, 2155m) o/n in a hotel +O
Patan City: It is one of the major cities of Nepal. It is one of the sub-metropolitan cities of Nepal located in the south-western part of Kathmandu valley. It is best known for its rich cultural heritage, particularly its tradition of arts and crafts. It is also called as city of festival and feast, fine ancient art, making of metallic and stone carving statue.
Bhaktapur City: City: This fully authentic town still retains a medieval charm and visitors to this ancient town are treated to myriad wonders of cultural and artistic achievements. Bhakatapur is famous for woodcarving, pottery and handicrafts.
Nagarkot: Nagarkot is a popular tourist destination of Nepal. It is situated 32km east of Kathmandu at an altitude of 2,175m above sea level. The panorama of the major mountain peaks of the eastern Nepal Himalaya including Mount Everest can be seen from here. We stay overnight in Nagarkot and enjoy the sunset and sunrise view
Half day sightseeing around in Kathmandu valley, where you will have time to fascinating Buddhist and Hindu temples and shrines reflecting ancient local tradition are highlighted on by guided tour. There’s time to explore the city’s many charms on your own or take a rest while we finalize trekking permits.
Day 4: Drive to Rafting and Chitwan National Parks (7hrs, 175km) o/n in a hotel +O+L+D
After breakfast: The drive to Rafting starting point (Charaudi) takes about 3 hours. The adventurous, but safe rafting program will take up to 3 hours in Trisuli River. After concluding the trip, it is 2 hours further drive to reach Sauraha (Chitwan) and transfer to the hotel. Meanwhile a Lunch has been served in Rafting ending point. In the evening we have a very unique and special Christmas Eve celebration including dinner in Sauraha, and also present a slide show about wild life.
Day 5: Full day Jungle activities programs in National Park, o/n in a hotel +O+L+D
Early morning, we exchange greetings of Merry Christmas and start our activities with a canoe, a Nature Walk Program or we can visit to the Elephant breeding centre. After Lunch you will be athing with elephants in the Rapti River and do theElephant safari. After Dinner we present you a relaxing dancing: Tharu cultural program (Dancing)
Day 6: Drive to Pokhara (5hrs, 185km, 940m) o/n in a hotel +O
In the early morning we first conclude Chitwan with a Jungle excursion and bird watching Program. After breakfast we resume our trip to Pokhara a resort of remarkable beauty. The serenity of Phewa Lake and the magnificent summit of Machhapurhhre rising behind create an ambiance of peace and magic. The valley surrounding Pokhara is home to thick forests, gushing rivers, clear lakes and the world famous views of the Himalaya.
Day 7: Drive to Nayapul and trek to Thikhedungha (2hrs D,4hrs t,1445m) o/n in lodge +O+L+D
After breakfast, we drive to Nayapul which takes about 2 hours. Meet with porters and pack the luggage and start trekking! We walk through lush green Burungdi river valley and beautiful villages where you will meet friendly local people. It takes about 3/4 hours easy walking from Birethati to finally reach Tikhedungaa
Day 8: Trek to Ghorepani (6 hrs,2848m) o/n in lodge +O+L+D
After breakfast, we will walk steep up to reach Ulleri, which will be challenging and adventurous. After one hour the trail continues to ascend more gently, through the fine forests of oak and rhododendron up to the fascinating village Ghorepani.
Day 9: Early morning to Poonhill and trek to Tadapani (7hrs, 2595m) o/n in lodge +O+L+D
We get up early morning and hiking up to the famous Poonhill (3200m) which takes about one hour. Before sunset we want to be there because the superb view of sunrise and beautiful panoramic views of Mt. Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, fishtail and many more will surprise and enchant you. After tea wedescend to Ghorepani and continue our trek to Tadapani
Day 10: Trek to Ghandruk (1995m) , o/n in a hotel +O (B)
This day, we descend steeply through green forests then gentle walk on easy trails up to Ghandruk(1995m). Ghandruk is also a beautiful village of Gurung culture, an ethnic group of Nepali who have their own culture and language. We can see more of their ancient lifestyle and customs in the museum. From here, one can see stunning views of Hiunchuli, Gangapurna and fistail and this village is major tourist destination of Nepal.
Day 11: Trek and drive to Pokhara (6/7 hrs) o/n in a hotel +O (Celebration New Year Eve)
Today, we easy walk down to Nayapul which take about 5hrs. We walk through some village and along the beautiful Modi river valley. Then catch our transport at Nayapul then drive back to Pokhara. This evening we will celebrate the New Year Eve in Nepali style.
Day 12: New Year celebration in Pokhara, o/n in a hotel +O
You are free for New Year celebration program that you can choose from the many activities in the streets. This special Street festival event will be organized in Lakeside Pokhara and everybody will join & enjoy the festival with you.
Day 13: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu ( 6hrs drive,30 minutes fly, o/n in a hotel +O
After breakfast, transfer back to Kathmandu on tourist coach or by plain which takes about 6hrs drive and 30 minutes fly.
Day 14: Transfer to international airport in Kathmandu +O
