This area lies north of Kathmandu and is third most popular trek of Nepal. This offer a multitude of trekking destinations, all accessible without flights. The trek in this region can be made from one to three weeks. This area offer an experience not found elsewhere. The trails are challenging with long, steep climbs and descents, often through deep forests or across glacial moraines. To the north east of Kathmandu lies the Jugal Himal, which includes Dorche Lakpa (6966m), Madiya (6257m) and Phurbi Chhyachu (6637m). From the south this is an easily accessible region, though it requires a long, uphill climb. Just above Dolaghat, on the KFriendship high way, a road leads to the large bazaar of Chautara, at 1410m. Our trek starts here, climbing to a ridge and following it north to Pach Pokhari, the Five Lakes, at 3600m. We continue to Tarke Gyang in Helambu and then head back down though Sermathang to reach Melamchipull Bazaar and Pachkhal on the Kodari road.
