Tilicho Biking Expedition Tour

Tilicho Lake is the highest lake in the world at 5200m. The lake lies on the north side of the Annapurna Himal, just below Tilicho Peak(7134m). Reaching it is not easy as the route rises to the Mesukantu-La pass at 5,300m. But it is an exciting and beautiful route, and one well suited to mountainbiking for those with good bike skills..

Day to Day ItineraryTilicho bike
Day 01: Arrive and Transfer to Hotel.
Day 02: Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley by Mountainbike.
Day 03: Kathmandu to Besisahar by bus overnight in lodge
Day 04: Bike to Bahundanda (18 km, altitude gain to 1310m,
Day 05: Bike to Tal (12km, 1700m, about 40% ride-able)
Day 06: Bike To Chame (20 km, 2670m, about 55% ride-able)
Day 07: Bike to Lower Pisang village (15.2km, 3260m, 80% ride-able)
Day 08: Manang village (17 km, 3450m, 95% ride-able)
Day 09: Acclimatization day"
Day 10: Bike to past Braga, Overnight accommodation in tents at 3500m. Day 11: Bike to Tilicho Base camp. Overnight accommodation in tents at Tilicho Base c amp(4200m,50% ride able)
Day 12: we reach 5000m for the first time so we must take it slowly and concentrate: there must be no mistakes at this height. Suddenly the fairy-tale Tilicho Lake emerges before us.(50% ride able) Tilicho bike
Day 13: We cross a pass east of the lake. The ascent to the pass, at 5300m, is very steep and not ride-able. The pass is also sometimes snow covered, which makes for an exciting ride. We then descend to Tilicho camp 2. Overnight in tents(5,100 m,50% ride able).
Day 14: After a short ascent we reach a unique lookout point(5200m, 40% ride able) pass from where we can see into distant Tibet and into the red landscape of Upper Mustang.
Day 15: Jomosom Hotel accommodation at 2800m.(90% ride able).
Day 16: To Kalopani (24.8km, 2530m, 85% ride-able).
Day 17: To Tatopani, (23km, 75% ride-able).
Day 18: To Beni Baazar (24km, 830m, 90% ride-able). And we take a bus for the 78km. to Pokhara.
Day 19: Free day in Pokhara.
Day 20: Take the bus to Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.
Day 21: Free day for shopping in Kathmandu.
Day 22: Departure for home.
