Makalu Base Camp Trekking

Makalu is the 5th Highest mountain in the world and this is near by the top of the world (Mt. Everest). This region is blessed with an incredible diversity of natural beauty and culture. Due to its isolation and lack of tea houses this area still receives few trekkers. Gurung, Rai & Sherpa are the main habitants in this area. Walking north of the Arun River to Sedua and then crossing Barun La (4110m.) into the upper Barun Khola valley for a close look at Makalu. This trek is not difficult on till Makalu base Camp and same way retron back to Tumlingtar. Sherpani col, west col is highest trekking rote 6100m. For this trekking you need experience sirdar and shrepa because west col and Amphulapcha 5800m. is very challenging pass. But you will have fantastic view of Mountain, Glacier Lake and Hungu valley. Than you trek continues khumbu region and you will pass throw shrepa village and Lukla. Also you can do hungu valley, via Mera-la and Mera peak to Lukla. For this trip you need fully camping trek, sirdar, Sherpa, cook and porter. Also you need fully climbing gear. Like, plastick shoes, crampons, Ice-Ax, Rope, Ice-scru, snow-Va.

Day to Day Itinerary (Makalu Base Camp Trekking)

Day 01 Arrival and pick up from the international airport in Kathmandu. After some refreshment we will invite you for a traditional Nepali dinner. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 02 Sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley o/n in a hotel,
Day 03 Fly to Tumlingtar and trek to Khadbari (3 hrs, 1036m) o/n in camp,
Day 04 Trek to Chichila (6/7hrs, 2160m) o/n in camp,
Day 05 Trek to Num (6 hrs, 2600m) o/n in camp,
Day 06 Trek to Shedwa (7 hrs, 2600m) o/n in camp,
Day 07 Trek to Tashigaon (5/6 hrs, 2650m) o/n in camp,
Day 08 Rest day in Tashigaon o/n in camp,
Day 09 Trek to Kouma Pain (7/8 hrs, 3500m) o/n in camp,
Day 10 Trek to Kharkela (4 hrs, 4100m) o/n in camp,
Day 11 Trek to Yangle Kharka (5/6 hrs, 4300m) o/n in camp,
Day 12 Trek to Mera (5/6 hrs, 4700m) o/n in camp,
Day 13 Trek to Makalu base camp (7 hrs, 5000m) and trek back to Mera o/n in camp,
Day 14 Trek back to Yangle Kharka (5/6 hrs) o/n in camp,
Day 15 Trek to Kumlapani (5/6 hrs) o/n in camp
Day 16 Trek to Tashi Goun (6/7 hrs) o/n in camp,
Day 17 Trek to Shedwa (7 hrs, 2600m) o/n camp,
Day 18 Trek to Num (6 hrs, 2600m) o/n in camp,
Day 19 Trek to Chichila (6/7hrs, 2160m) o/n camp,
Day 20 Trek to Tumlingtar o/n in camp,
Day 21 Fly back to Kathmandu o/n in a hotel,
Day 22 Free day in Kathmandu o/n in a hotel,
Day 23 Transfer to the international airport for onward fly to your destination.
