Introduction:
Pangong Tso is the highest lake in Ladakh region situated at the 4300m. The lake is surrounded by giant peaks that are well over 6400m and Pangong is situated 160km from Leh. It is famous for colorful stones, fossils and wild flowers in summer. Trip to Pangog Tso is very rewarding and gives you a lifelong memory. You will drive through the villages of pastoral community who have retained their nomadic glory in spite of harsh weather and also crossing many high mountain passes. You can visit some of the remotest areas of Ladakh. It is a Nomadic area of tribe known “Changpas". They can be spotted in Rebos (Yak wool tents) with the heards of yaks, Horses, goats & sheeps. Major highlight of this tour is excursion of Lake Pangong. Which is a life time experience in itself.The area around the lake is famous for Fossils, colorful stones & wild flowers. This tour also includes visit to various remote monestories like Chemra, Taktak, Durbuk & above all a visit to the richest & most famous gompa of Hemis
Day by day itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Delhi. Meet the guide at the airport and transfer to hotel
Day 02: Flight to Leh transfer to hotel, o/n in a hotel
Day 03/04:Sightseeing of Leh's monasteries and palaces
Day 05:Drive from Lhe to Durbuk (110km) and en route visit Chemra and Taktak Gompas
Day 06: Drive to Lukung, by pass village Tantse (100km)
Day 07: Drive to Pangong Tso (60km) via Spangmik village at the bank of Pangong Tso o/n in camp
Day 08:Explore the area, drive and trek along the lake
Day 09: Drive back Tangtse by crossing over a pass. beautiful opportunity of photography o/n in camp
Day 10: Drive to Chang La. En route visit Durbuk Gompa
Day 11: Drive back to Leh via Hemis monastery
Day 12: Flight to Delhi & transfer to hotel o/n in a hotel
Day 13:Transfrer to international airport
