Bastiaan Evers: Lhasa Kathmandu Mountainbiking

We did the alternative LHS-KTM mountainbike tour in 15 days (23 when you count acclimatization and all transfers) and had a wonderful time! What we really appreciated was the fact that we were supported merely by Tibetan people, making the trip much more insightful concerning the local culture. The biking itself was sometimes reasonably heavy, especially because of the wind, but it's great to know that in case you're really exhausted, you can always get into the van. We think the definite plus of doing a trip like this with Himalayan Leaders is their extreme flexibility and capacity to tailor the trip exactly to your capabilities!

Han: Sagarmatha Park trek and Island Peak

We made a great trek in Sagarmatha national park (Renjo La, Cho La, EBC) including the climb of Island Peak.

Himalayan Leaders organised the trek very good: good information, good guide, flexible attitude towards our wishes.

We enjoyed the holiday enormeously. Much thanks to Himalayan Leaders.

Henk en Paula: Annapurna Base Camp

We had a great experience!! The trekking, the sighsteeing in Kathmandu, the service, etc. Our guide and porter on the trekking were great. The guide, Prakash talked every evenig with us about the schedule and he changed the iternaty for us. So even when you are a little bit scared, then you can walk with this organisatioen. Thanks for that! The service was perfect and on the moment that the rooms were fully booked, he tried and tried until we had our own room. Prakash told us a lot about the nature, culture, people and showed us a lot of beautiful places. And we learned to play Nepali carts. Within two years we want to do another trekking and if Himalayan Leaders is in that region, we loved to book with them again.
see you again

Claire Capon: Everest basecamp/Kalapather 21 days

During my 21 day visit to Nepal I have had an amazing time. I completed a trek that took me to Everest Base Camp and it was an exhilirating experience. The two highlights were reaching the highest point at Kala Patthar and also standing on the Reno Pass and seeing Everest for the first time. I was extremely lucky as it was a beautiful day with blue skies making the scene picture postcard perfect!

I felt safe at all times because I was well looked after by guide, he was able to explain to me the culture, sorted out my accommodation every night and always told me what mountain I was looking at. I am extremely happy and grateful to everyone at Himalayan Leaders and if you're looking for a challenging but enjoyable holiday, I recommend it...21/10/2010

Tim Page: Everest Basecamp, Gokyo and Chola Pass

During our 2.5 week stay in Nepal, Himalayan Leaders catered for our every need. Our group of 6 trekkers was provided with an excellent guide and reliable porters for a very reasonable price, making our trip to Everest Basecamp, Gokyo and Chola Pass an extremely enjoyable experience. When we arrived back in Nepal, Himalayan Leaders helped us discover the city with some well planned day tours. It's very reassuring to know that these guys have your back when in such a diverse country.

Bas Willems and Eveline J...: Mountain biking in Annapurna Region

I loved the stay with Himalayan Leaders in Nepal. The great guides showed us the most beautiful places of the country. Their experience and know how helped us to succeed and cycle and walk around Annapurna. The days cycling around Kathmandu are worth the visit, the small villages, the excellent food and the suburb views are great. The cycling from Kathmandu to Pokhara was great and the guides know the best routes. Thanks a lot for the great experience and the unforgettable trek. I can recommend this trip to every experienced biker. Bas Willems and Eveline Jonker. 22/May/2010

Renee: Lhasa to Kathmandu mountainbiking

In 18 days we cycled from Lhasa to Kathmandu. We took about 400 kilometers off/road which made the trek extra special. We were in a group of 4 in total (one man and three women). Our guide, two drivers and cook were all Tibetan and really great. Every day we had a great 3 meals, which gave us the power to reach yet another pass. The guide was very kind and honest en knew a lot about buddhism. We visited 4 big monasteries and got extensive explanation whenever we wanted. The crew was very flexibel and was very hard working to make us as happy as possible. We found the tour hard at times but very satisfying. We got a lot of moral support from our crew and in the end it felt like we all did it together. The off/road part made it extra special and is defenitely recommended in our point of view. Himalayan Leaders did an excellent job in organising this tour. They are very supportive and also very kind and helpfull, in many ways. thank you so much for kind hospitality.. will come back next time ..........20/May/2010

Jan Franssen: Nepal Panorama Trekking

We went on a four day trek called the Royal Trek. And Royal it was indeed. Six tourists from Holland, two guides an excellent cook and ten porters. Getting up early, to walk before the heat of the day, through forests, villages with friendly greeting people, terraced agricultural areas up and down steep and high staircases skillfully made of rough mountain stones and reminding us of the stairway to heaven. The guides were wonderful, not only showing us the way but also as companions, explaining about the way of life of the mountain people, the agriculture and the history of the region. They never seemed to get tired of our questions. At the end of a day’s walk there would be a camp to rest en read and have a wonderful and well deserved meal prepared by the camp cook. I don’t know how the porters did it, they left every day after us, and were already in the next camp before us. There was a young boy of sixteen how tied two backpacks together and happily carried this on his back, with a small third backpack on top of it. He kept smiling the whole day. All the way knowing that the trip was well organized by the Himalayan Leaders was a comforting and reassuring thought. Everything went well and we had a wonderful experience. One thing I know for sure, this was not our last trip to Nepal, thanks a lot to Jagat and Himalayan Leaders team to make ours magnificent trip in Nepal and see you again.

We just came back from our mountainbike trip from Lhasa to Kathmandu and the only thing I can say that it was fantastic. It was one of the best adventures and experiences of my life. This could not have been happening without the great organisational skills and help of Himalayan Leaders. Not only they are very flexible and always put their customers wishes first but also the human interest was warm and helpfull. Unfortunately I had some health problems and I had to visit the hospital. The interest and help shown by Himalayan Leaders at that time will remain in my mind as a warm and human memory. Thanks for everything Jagat and Nawal and at the end Deepak and Arun.Sunday, July 05 2009 - 12:46 PM
