I TINERARY
Day 01 Katmandu to Zhangmu or Naylam (3400m)-145 Kms.
Early morning drive from Katmandu to Kodari(Approx. 6 hours). After completing
immigration and custom formalities drive up hill to Zhangmu. The Guide will meet
the Group on arrival at the check post we drive further to Neylam following
BhoteKoshi River in a deep valley with some overflowing waterfalls. Overnight at
Guest house / Hotel.
Day 02 Naylam to Tingri (4350m)-224 Kms.
Drive (Approx. 7 hours) to Tingri crossing two spectacular passes. Nyalamu pass
(3800m) and Lalung La pass (5082m). This drive offers fantastic view of the high
mountains including Mount Everest (8848m) Jugal Himal, Mt. Makalu (8464m) etc.
Overnight at Guest house.
Day 03 Tingri - Rombuk (4900M): 120 KM
Scenic drive to RONBUK via PANG LA from where view of the MT EVEREST is
magnificent at Guest house.
 Day 04 ROMBUK - EVEREST BC - RONBUK: 10 KM
Trek to EVEREST BC and explore BC and trek back to RONBUK (or use horse
cart by directly renting it) overnight at Guest house.
Day 05 EBC to Xigatze (3900m)-320Kms.
Drive (Approx.8 hrs) to reach Xigaste, the place of famous Tashilunpo Monastery
and seat of panchen Lama until his death in 1989 with its huge Thangka wall
which is clearly visible from the north side of the road Overnight at Hotel.
Day 06 Xigaste to Gyantse(3950m)-90kms.
In the morning visit the Tashilunpo Monastery and the free bazaar of Xigaste.
After lunch embark on a pleasant 2 hours drive to Gyantse. Here you visit the
Khumbum Stupa and Phalkot Monastery Overnight at Hotel.
Day 07 Gyantse to Lhasa(3650m)-259kms.
The drive to Lhasa takes 08 hours, crossing 2 passes The Karo La (5010m) and
Kamba La (4794m) pass and lake Yamdrok Tso(Turquoise Lake). You will cross the
Yarlung Tsangpo(Brahamaputra) river and see the distant views of the Potala
Palace. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 08/09: Lhasa Sightseeing Tour.
Visit the Potala Palace, Drepung & Sera Monastery, Jokhang Temple & Barkhor
Bazaar. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 10: Drive to Latze or Tingri overnight at Hotel or Guest house
Day 11: Drive to Kathmandu
