We feel proud to organize our biking expedition to Tilicho Lake. Hence, it is one of the highest lakes in the world existing at a height of 5200m. The lake lies on the north side of the Annapurna Himalayan range, just below Tilicho Peak (7134m).

Technically reaching here is not easy as the route rises to the Mesukantu-La pass at 5,300m. But it is really exciting when the bikers succeed to get there. After that, you can find the wonderfully rich nature with panoramic mountains towering over you at your close-up distance. During this Mountain Bike tour, offers you a fascinating insight into the life of middle hill Nepalese, ethnic groups from Hindu farmers to Tibetan Lamas, incredible views of many of the Himalayas’ most famous high peaks, and crystal clear lakes.

Day to day schedule to Nepal: 16d Tilicho Lake Mountain Biking Tour

  • Day 1: Arrival o/n in Hotel +D

    Up on arrival in Kathmandu our representative will pick you up and Transfer to hotel, after refreshment ,welcome dinner.

  • Day 02: Warm up ride or sightseeing around Kathmandu Valley, o/n in a hotel +B

    This day after having breakfast, we go for the warm up paddling ride near Kathmandu valley. or Sightseeing visit around Kathmandu valley including: Kathmandu darbar square, Shyambhu, Pasupatinath, Baudanath. Till then our staff will be busy in preparing necessary Permits for the trip.

  • Day 03: Drive to Beshishar and bike to Bulbule (7/8hrs, 835m, 100% ride able, 11km) o/n in lodge +B+L+D

    Today Following the Annapurna Circuit trek route to Beshishar, where an impressive footbridge crosses the raging Marsyandi River, a maze of footpaths leads across a small pass and uphill to the Bulbule.

  • Day 04: Mountainbike to tal (5/6hrs, 1700m, 100% ride able, 32km) o/n in lodge +B+L+D

    Crossing the long suspension bridge over Marshyangdi, the trail continues up the east bank of the river with good views of Manaslu (8156m) to the north-east. Through the villages of Ngadi and Lampata the trail leads to Lili Bir and continue high above the river eventually dropping to cross to the western side of the Marsyangdi at Syange (1190m) after which the trail becomes steep in parts, reaching the ancient village of Jagat. From Jagat the trail descends to the Marsyangdi following the riverbank before climbing up through forests to Chamje (1430m). The trail initially crosses the river to the east bank and climbs up to the large settlement of Tal (1675m), where there are many shops and lodges.

  • Day 05: Mountainbike to Chame (5/6hrs, 2713m, 100% ride able, 27km) o/n in lodge +B+L+D

    As you cut through a narrow field from the village, the Dudh Khola, which originates from the south face of Manaslu. The Marsyangdi River then veers to the left, and as Annapurna‘ll become visible ahead, you arrive at Bhgarchhap, a Bhote village with prayer flags fluttering in the breeze around Buddhist Monastery. Continuing climb through forests of pine and oak, the trail goes through flat leave until you reach chame where there are government offices, shops and hotels. Chame is the district headquarters for the Manang district.

  • Day 06: Mountainbike to Manang (7hrs, 3500m, 100% ride able, 34km) o/n in lodge +B+L+D

    Today we continue through the drier upper part of the Manang district, cut off from the full effect of the monsoon by the Anapurna Range. People of this region, herd yaks & raise crops for part of the year besides, they also continue to enjoy special trading rights gained way back in 1784. Leaving Pisang, we have an alternate trails north and south of the Marsyangdi River which meet up again at Mungji. The southern route by Hongde, with its airstrip, at 3325m involves less climbing than the northern route via Ghyaru, though there are better views on the trail that follows the northern bank of the river. From Mungji, the trail continues past the picturesque but partially hidden village of Bryanga.

  • Day 07: Rest day in Manang, and hiking around o/n in lodge +B+L+D

    Today we spend a day acclimatizing in Manang. The whole day we spend by doing some fine day walks and over viewing the magnificent views around the village & the day time is best to gain altitude. At the end of the day, we return back to our accommodation & have a night rest.

  • Day 08: Mountain bike to Tilicho base camp ( 6hrs, 4300m,50% ride able, 18km) o/n in lodge +B+L+D

    After acclimatized at Manang we continue our adventure bike tour  for Tilicho Lake Base Camp, from Manang, heads out through the western gates and then  follows the path down to the river. After crossing the Khangsar Khola on the bridge below Khangsar and ascend the slope to the village, a village still in the old Tibetan style and which is also known as last village of Nepal and then continue passing through Monastery to Tilicho base camp.

  • Day 09: Morning hike to Tilicho Lake (5200 m) and mountainbike to Yak Kharka (6hrs, 4250m, 50 % ride able, 16km) o/n in lodge +B+L+D

    Today early in the morning, we trying to avoid the wind and hike From Base camp to the Tilicho Lake. Tilicho Lake is a cold barren place in the afternoon and claimed as highest lake of the world. After we spend some time around Tilicho Lake we will return back to Tilicho base camp and bike through the ruins of Shrikharka and follow the Upper Khangsar trial to Yak Kharka.

  • Day 10: Mountainbike  to Throng  Pedi (6hrs, 4450m, 80% ride able 10km) o/n in lodge +B+L+D

    Today, After a short ascent up the mountain path on the right bank, you follow a narrow trail across an
    unstable spree slope and then descend to Thorung Phedi.

  • Day 11: Mountainbike to Muktinath via Throng pass (5416m) (7/8hrs, 3800m, 45% ride able, 30km) o/n in lodge B+ L+ D

    Today we start early for ours crossing of Throng-La (5416m). The trail becomes steep immediately on leaving camp but as this trail has been used by local people for hundreds of years the path is well defined. The gradient then eases and after about 4 hours of steady climbing, you reach the Chorten and prayer flags of the pass. The views are dramatic to say the least, from the snow-covered mountains above, to the head of the Kali Gandki valley below and the brown and purple hills of Mustang which are spread out before you. The descent to Muktinath is a knee pounding 1600m but it’s rewarded with excellent views of Dhaulagiri. Eventually the moraines give way to grassy slopes before a pleasant bike along the Jhong Khola Valley to Muktinath.

  • Day 12: Mountain bike to Tatopani (48km, 5hrs, 100% ride able 1140m) o/n in lodge +B+L+D

    We will leave early in the morning after breakfast downhill to Tatopani via Dhana,Ruptse, Ghasa, The trial follows the Kali Gandaki valley. The river cuts a channel between the peaks of Annapurna 1 and Dhaulagiri thus, qualifying the kali Gandaki valley for the title of the world & deepest gorge. We ride through Ghasa at 1630m and one stage takes a precious route through a very steep.

  • Day 13: Mountain bike to beni and drive to pokhara (5/6hrs, 18km ride, 88km drive, 100%ride able) o/n in Hotel +B+L

    After breakfast we will ride along the river bed on a jeep track to the Beni Bazaar where we’ll meet the Pokhara road from here we drive back to Pokhara.

  • Day 14: Drive or fly to Kathmandu (30m fly/6hrs drive, 200km) o/n in a hotel +B

  • Day 15: Free day for shopping, o/n in a hotel +B

  • Day 16: Transfer to international airport (B)
