As well as, the holy sites of monasteries and monuments along the trails relating to the Dalai Lama. Here, the Dalai Lama is s greatest adobe of Tibetan people.

Day to day schedule to Tibet: 14d Lhasa to Kathmandu Mountain Bike Tour

  • Day 01: Flight to Lhasa, (3650m, 60Km drive) o/n in a hotel

    Flight to lhasa, on reaching you will meet by our Tibetan guide at Gonggar airport. After immigration formalities, a 1.5-hour drive along 60 km road you will reach Lasha. It’s advisable to rest and take it easy for the remainder of the day due to Lhasa’s altitude.

  • Day 02: Mountain bike sightseeing around Lhasa o/n in hotel +B

    Visit: Potala Palace, Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery, Lhasa Gang.
    Today will be spent visiting several of Lhasa’s many monasteries in the company of a guide and interpreter. One of these is the Sera Monastery, one of the best-preserved monasteries in Tibet. Within its whitewashed walls and golden roofs, several hundred monks live and study. After lunch we’ll visit the Norbulingka, the summer palace of the Dalai Lama, As well as the Jokhang Temple. This temple is possibly the most sacred shrine in Tibet and there is always a procession of devout Tibetans through the complex. Surrounding the Jokhang is the Barkor – a maze of narrow cobbled streets that is the central market of Lhasa.

  • Day 03: Mountain bike to Quxu (61Km, 3600m) o/n in camp +B+L+D

    This morning we will visit the Potala Palace, which dominates the city of Lhasa. A spectacular building, it contains the private quarters of the Dalai Lama as well as numerous grand staterooms and many important chapels. There has been a palace on this site since the 5th or 6th century, but the present palace was constructed in the 17th century. Today, you will visit Potala in the morning and then ride the bike to Quxur county at the distance of around 60km with a very good paved road.

  • Day 04: Mountain bike to Nagarze (99Km, 4,410m) o/n in camp +B+L+D

    A strong uphill climb reaches a summit of Khamba la pass(4794m) profligately decorated with prayer flags. After descending we continue alongside Lake Yamdrok(4441m) and again ride to Ngartse.

  • Day 05: Mountain bike to Gyantse (105Km, 4,020m) o/n in hotel +B+L

    This day after breakfast we ride to Lungmar via Karo Pass(54km) and continue to Gyantse at the distance of around 60km. A significant day on the tour, as we have to get up early to climb the high Karo Pass (5010m). By now you will be feeling in good physical condition. Around us we can see Karola glaciers of 6000m and beautiful lakes.

  • Day 06: Mountain bike to Shigatse (90Km, 3835) o/n in hotel +B

    Today after having breakfast, we do sightsee around in Gyantse, including Pholkor&Kumbum Monastery. And ride to Shigatse is flat all the way on a very well paved road.

  • Day 07: Mountain bike to Jidingzhen (60Km, 3905m) o/n in camp +B+L+D

    This day we visit Tashilump monastery and ride with the typical view of the Tibetan landscape offering sheer feeling of standing on the roof of the world.

  • Day 08: Mountain bike to Lhatse (92Km, 4050m) o/n in camp +B+L+D

    This day we ride to Lhatse with the typical view of the Tibetan landscape and weather permitting breathtaking panorama of beautiful Himalayan ranges including Mt. Everest etc.

  • Day 09: Mountain bike to Shegar (91Km, 4320m) via Gyatso La Pass (5220m) o/n in hotel +B+L

    Today we will pass via the eye-catching canyon located at the 5220m Lakpa Pass. If it is a clear day, you will be greeted by the first view of the almighty Mt Everest. After riding for 40 km through plain towns, you will reach in the town of Pelbar also known as Shegar.

  • Day 10: Mountain bike to Rongbuk (5000m) to EBC (5150m) and back to Rongbuk (100km) o/n in Guest House +B+L+D

    We will get chance to see fantastic view of five peaks, Everest, Jo Oyu, Makalu, Lhotse and Shisha Pangma.

  • Day 11: Mountain bike to Old Tingri (69Km, 4350m) o/n in Guest House +B+L+D

    We ride towards Old Tingri. This is a delightful ride as the road is not in good enough condition for motor traffic so bikers have it to themselves and can enjoy the scenery. There are remote villages and meadows with yaks and sheep. We now follow the river gently downhill to Tingri, a beautiful town with fine views of Everest and Cho Oyo.

  • Day 12: Mountain bike to Shishabangma Base camp (85Km, 4609m) o/n in camp +B+L+D

  • Day 13: Mountain bike and drive to Kyironng (178Km, 2600m) o/n in hotel +B+L

  • Day 14: Mountain bike and drive to Nepal (28km ride and 150km Drive, 1350m) o/n in hotel +B

    From Kerong, we have to pass through customs and into Nepal. After finishing Border formalities/leaving Tibet, drive to cross Friendship Bridge by foot, entry formalities to Nepal, and drive back to Kathmandu.
